These beginner-level classes focus on building fundamental acrobatic skills. Students work on developing flexibility, strength, and balance while learning basic movements such as handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and rolls.
The primary goal is to establish a strong technical foundation and proper body control to ensure safe progression to more advanced techniques.
Designed for students who have mastered the basics, intermediate classes introduce more challenging skills like back and front walkovers, aerials, handsprings, and advanced balancing exercises.
There’s a stronger emphasis on strength, flexibility, and control, helping students refine their technique and gain confidence in executing more complex movements.
Advanced-level training is geared toward experienced students ready to take on high-level acrobatics. This includes advanced tumbling passes, back tucks, layouts, and intricate aerial variations.
Students at this level focus on refining their technique, increasing power and agility, and seamlessly integrating acrobatics into dance performances. There’s also an emphasis on artistic expression and fluidity in movement.
The Acroflex Squad is an invitation only, close-knit, elite group of dancers carefully selected from the academy's mainstream classes to represent Acroflex at public performances, dance festivals and competitions.
Membership is based on skill level, dedication and performance quality, with squad members receiving specialised training to refine their technique, strength and stage presence. As ambassadors of the academy, they showcase their talent at high-level events, fostering a culture of teamwork and discipline.
Acrobatic examinations provide a structured way for dancers to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while ensuring safe and proper technique.
Certification offers formal recognition, aiding career opportunities in dance, theatre, and teaching.
Examinations also foster discipline, perseverance, and mental resilience, helping dancers set and achieve goals. Additionally, they provide a competitive edge in auditions and professional performances, making them a valuable asset for aspiring dancers and performers.
